Gender is a cross-cutting policy priority within PAX's intervention strategies. PAX is committed to leveraging the peace potential of diversity and gender equality in programme formulation and implementation, based on practical experience available within the organisation as well as existing and to be acquired knowledge.
The policy advisor advises on the thematic policy frameworks in the field of gender in conflict transformation and peace building, both at programme level and at institutional level, and is responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating gender, peace and security policies and programmes.

Policy advisor Gender, peace and security (maternity leave cover, 0,8 FTE)
This concerns a temporary position from 01 September 2020 until 28 February 2021.

We are looking for an initiative-rich, creative, energetic and service-oriented gender heavyweight with demonstrable knowledge of and experience with gender in conflict transformation and peace building. Someone who is able to embody gender theory and knows how to translate this into tangible results, both programmatically and in terms of fundraising and lobbying.
